Irish resources
Northern Ireland Civil Registration began 1922. Republic of Ireland Civil Registration began 1864, although non Roman Catholic marriages were recorded from 1845. Many of these records were destroyed in the fire in Four Courts building, which housed the Public Records Office of Dublin in 1922.
